About Me

Nice to meet!

Hi, I am Tene Nana, an APN and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with eight years of diverse nursing experience. With a solid foundation in nursing and specialized training in psychiatry obtained through rigorous academic preparation at Walden University, I have developed a practice that integrates expertise, empathy, and a client-centered approach. This methodology reflects a profound understanding of the intricate connections between mind, body, and spirit, emphasizing holistic care tailored to each individual's unique journey.

My professional journey began at RWJ Barnabas Health, where the principles of compassionate nursing were firmly established. This initial chapter set the stage for transformative experiences at Capital Health, Penn Medicine, and Princeton House, where I interacted with clients from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. These roles deepened my understanding of the intricate realities of mental health care and enhanced my ability to practice cultural competence and sensitivity—a cornerstone of my profession.

In partnership with clients and their support networks, I have adopted a dynamic therapeutic strategy that incorporates various psychotherapeutic approaches and medication management. This collaborative methodology ensures that each care plan is personalized and grounded in a true partnership, aligning with the client's goals and aspirations. I work with clients who experience depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. I am running a few minutes late; my previous meeting is running over.
