Bit About My Approach to Therapy

Somdatta’s therapy approach is holistic and integrative, combining counseling skills such as active listening and empathy to understand each client’s unique worldview. She values the individual experiences and perceptions that clients bring to the process. Somdatta believes that personal growth and finding purpose can be transformative. She also incorporates movement therapy when appropriate in her sessions.

What to expect in the first session

In the first session, Somdatta focuses on understanding the client's personal history, struggles, and needs while building rapport. She identifies the client's strengths and explores both healthy and unhealthy coping skills. Somdatta also examines the client's lifestyle to determine factors that may help or hinder progress. The client is involved in collaboratively creating a treatment plan.
